How to use Nana's Spice

Add a pinch (1/4 tsp) spice to a tin of baked beans to make delicious masala beans

Add a pinch (1/4 tsp) spice to a fried egg or omelette

Add a pinch (1/4 tsp) spice to bolognese

Mix 1/2 tsp spice with salt and a tablespoon of oil and rub all over a whole chicken before roasting

Mix 1/2 tsp spice with salt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, chopped coriander and marinade bone-in chicken thighs before coating in breadcrumbs and baking in the oven

Mix a pinch (1/4 tsp) spice with salt, lemon, garlic and ginger and marinade a piece of mackerel before pan frying

Add a pinch (1/4 tsp) spice at the end of cooking a dal

Use a big pinch (1/3 tsp) spice in the place of garam masala in any recipe for a hint of spicy warmth
