Xacuti Spice Mix

Xacuti, pronounced “sha-kuti”, is a classic Goan curry whose origins predate Goa’s Portuguese colonisation. Xacuti is traditionally made by creating a paste of roasted freshly grated coconut, onion and a wide variety of spices, which give it a distinctive and intense taste.

Our Xacuti Spice Mix is an aromatic blend of 15 spices, all of which have been roasted separately to bring out their unique flavour and aroma. From earthy seeds like fenugreek and cumin to warm sweet spices like nutmeg and star anise, this medium spicy versatile blend will add rich, deep flavour to any dish. Make a classic chicken Xacuti curry, marinade meat or vegetables, or even just add a touch of spice to stir fried vegetables. There are no rules; experiment and find your favourite way to use Xacuti Spice Mix in your cooking!

All of our spice blends are made with 100% natural ingredients and use the finest spices available. They are all carefully handmade in small batches by our founder, Emma.
